Q. Where can I obtain the passport application form?

You can obtain the passport application form from any major UK Post Office free of charge. We would advise to obtain a few copies as if you make a mistake on the form you will be required to complete a new one.

Q. Can I download the passport application form?

If you wish to apply via the Passport Office and use our service you must obtain the original passport application form, which is obtainable from any major UK Post Office free of charge. We would advise to obtain a few copies as if you make a mistake on the form. you will require to complete a new one altogether.

Q. Can I use the downloadable version of the passport application form?

The downloadable version of the passport application form can only be used if you are applying via the Passport Office website as a non UK resident. Note that in this case your application would need 6-8 weeks to be processed.

Q. What is the LS01 form?

In case of a lost or stolen passport an LS01 form must be submitted describing how the passport was stolen or lost. You can obtain the form either from the passport office or download it from the internet.

Q. Can I complete the passport application form in blue ink pen?

No, you will need to complete the form in black ink. Writing should be in block capital letters and all written answers need to be within the boxes on the form. (one letter/number per box).

Q. What if I make a minor mistake on my UK passport application form?

Minor mistakes can be crossed out in black ink. Do note that correction fluid is not permitted. If you make more than three mistakes on any line or do not provide a clear signature in Section 9, you should complete a new application form.

Q. My signature in section 9 is touching the pink border, will this affect my application?

The application will be unfortunately automatically rejected at the Passport Office. Note that all written answers need to be within the boxes on the form. (one letter/number per box). Signatures must not touch the pink boarders of the relevant boxes.

Q. What will be the validity of my new passport?

Your new passport will be valid for 10 years from the day of issue. If you are renewing a non-fully expired passport, up to 9 months can be added on the full validity of the new passport (10 years and 9 months).

Q. Do I need an appointment with the Passport Office?

Yes. An appointment is required for all passport services. If you use an agency like ourselves, we will book and attend the appointment on your behalf. We can book the appointment once we receive your application in our office and it is usually issued in the next couple of days.

Q. My passport is full but I still have valid visas, will the visas be automatically cancelled?

No. Your new passport will not carry any visas. In some cases, you can travel with both your cancelled passport that holds the valid visa and your new passport. Please check with the relevant Embassy/ Commission to confirm if allowed. In other cases, you must resubmit the old and new passport to transfer the visa.

Q. My passport is full but I still have valid visas, will they be transferred onto my new passport?

That will depend on the origin of the visa and we would advise to contact the Embassy-High Commission that granted it in the first place to obtain more information. In some cases, you can travel with both your cancelled passport that holds the valid visa and your new passport. Please check with the relevant Embassy/ Commission.
